Iron Rich Ingredient.
Our client, a global food and beverage manufacturer, is looking to identify ingredients that are naturally iron rich.
The primary needs are:
- Ingredients or technologies that help enhance the iron content of food products.
- All ingredients must be naturally rich in iron.
- All ingredients must be vegetarian.
- All ingredients must be in the form of a free flowing powder or similar.
Key considerations:
- Permitted for use in food.
- Fortified ingredients will not be considered.
- Ideally the iron should be in the ferric form and non-heme.
Ingredients and technologies at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7+ will be prioritised. However, those that can achieve TRL 9 within a 2-year horizon will be considered.
