Our client, a global agricultural producer and food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for expertise and advancements in the development of non-destructive testing, in-line and on-line analysis for fruit and vegetables. The inherent variability of agricultural crops makes off-line sampling protocols unreliable, as large sample sizes to account for the variability is not economically viable. To overcome this and deliver reproducible quality to the consumer in-line and on-line systems are the most desirable solutions, however reliability and reproducibility of existing system is currently below the desired threshold.
To overcome this and deliver reproducible quality to the consumer in-line and on-line systems are the most desirable solutions, however reliability and reproducibility of existing system is currently below the desired threshold. To over come this, our client is looking to identify new and emerging technologies that provide a step-change in non-destructive, continuous on-line testing of for fruit and vegetables. The non-destructive technologies of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Hyperspectral Imaging.
- Magnetic resonance Imaging (MRI).
- Near Infrared (NIR).
- Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR).
- Radio Frequency (RF)
Early stage research and development are of particular interest for all aspects of this project however to commercially available solutions will also be considered. All solutions must be suitable for use in food.
All solutions must be submitted to Technology Scout (ACTION@auroraceres.co.uk), with a subject line F20/287/2 Non-Destructive Testing, detailing:
- A summary of the technology and its parameters.
- The technical or application limitations.
- Manufacturing capabilities and locations.
- Contact details.
